“Day of the Dead” is a celebration in Mexico on October 31 honoring those we have lost. The traditional masks and icons give Halloween costumes a run for their money. I made this Dia De Los Muertos artwork for Latino Future magazine. I conceived it as the one Tarot Card you don’t want to get: Death, the thirteenth card, which symbolizes a profound transformation. I transformed a classic Dia de los Muertos image and balanced it with fine brush strokes to make it look like a lithograph.
